parent/baby dedication at first coast

Thank you for your interest in pursuing the important milestone of Parent/Baby Dedication at FCBC. When you present your child to God in this way, you are publicly recognizing that your child belongs to Him and that you will raise him/her in a home that is committed to experiencing and loving Christ.

We are excited about the child God has gifted to you. There is no greater treasure that you could receive, and no greater responsibility that you could assume! As Christ followers, we understand that raising our children God's way involves personal devotion and a complete trust in God. In fact, God created each individual with a unique plan in mind.

The dedication service is a decision made by the parent(s) and not by the child. This dedication is not a baptism but a way for parent(s) to commit to God to train, teach, and be godly examples for their children, as well as to show trust in God and thankfulness for His gift. First Coast gladly dedicates a child of those who are committed to the principles of God's Word.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7 says this, “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.”

As Christian parents, you are committing to teaching your child the truth found in God’s word. You are also committing to being a Christ-like example and to leading your child to a personal relationship with Christ. Your First Coast faith family is honored to partner with you on this journey.
